The historic building at Rua São João da Lapa, no. 97, was built in an uncertain year.

Its rehabilitation was a peculiar exercise in respecting and highlighting the historical elements that characterize the house, combined with great creativity in reinterpreting and integrating its language into a contemporary lifestyle and aesthetic.

Ambitious results were required for the interiors which, from the perspective of Portuguese architecture, we might perhaps call the refinement of the 1001 nights: where the exotic multiplies textures, patterns, objects, and plants; an experience that harmonizes a heterogeneity of sensory stimuli, in a fusion between classicism, the house’s history, and a post-modern inspiration.
